ASANOMIYA is the romanized name of 「麻宮」, pronounced “Asanomiya.”
It expresses the image of a sacred hemp sanctuary — a peaceful space gently surrounded by the purity of hemp.

ASANOMIYA is a custom-made healing hemp product, created to harmonize with your personal space.
Around a bed, in a meditation room, treatment space, retreat room, or quiet corner of the home, its soft transparency and airy three-dimensional presence bring a gentle sense of calm and sacredness to the atmosphere.

The Sacred Nature of Hemp

In Japan, hemp has long been treasured as a pure and sacred material.
It has been used in shrine ropes, bell cords, sacred textiles, and ritual objects, remaining close to people’s prayers and daily lives as a material that purifies and prepares sacred space.

One of the most revered examples is Aratae — also known as Aratae no Nuno — a sacred textile woven from hemp grown in Tokushima Prefecture.
It is offered during the Daijōsai, the Great Thanksgiving Ceremony held as part of the enthronement rites of the Emperor of Japan.
This precious tradition has been preserved in Tokushima, centered around the Miki family, descendants of the ancient Awa Inbe clan, and the textile is dedicated to the sacred seats of the ritual halls.

ASANOMIYA was born from a deep respect for this sacred quality of hemp — its ability to purify, to protect, and to create a serene boundary of healing within modern living spaces.
